Solid Can Change into Liquid

A solid can change into a liquid. The stage where solid state changes to liquid is called the melting point. The kinetic theory says that “when a solid is heated, which means that we add more energy, the particles in the solid gain kinetic energy”. The particles will then vibrate more vigorously because the energy is added. The temperature will also increase. The particles will then vibrate faster as the temperature increases until the energy gained is able to overcome the forces that hold them at their fixed positions.
